OC Mazda, proudly serving Southern California

At Orange County Mazda, it's all about the energy.
John Patterson, the owner, sets the tone.
"Anybody who knows me knows that I'm an extremely energetic person," he said.
Patterson, 40, founded the company in 2004 after working 12 years at Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. He first bought Tustin Mazda and then added Huntington Beach Mazda last year.
Patterson strives to maintain a "high-five, chest-bump" environment among his 107 employees, where one person's enthusiasm rubs off on another, he said. He thinks that explains why the company ranked so highly in the Top Workplaces survey.
"We have a common theme: treat every customer as if they're a guest in your home, and make sure your home is a place they want to visit," he said. "Part of it being a pleasant place to be is having an enthusiastic attitude and picking each other up when you're down."
